Hi can anyone tell me if they’re having trouble with their television coverage on Avatel. We have a broadband & television package with them & we’ve not had any channels for the last 3 days & they said it’s a network fault in the whole area we’re in Gran Alacant. Could anyone please tell me if they have the same problem thanks

Have you rebooted your router and your tv box?

Hi

I'm pretty sure that someone else mentioned the same problem on this forum recently. They use Vega Fibra - but that is now part of Avatel.

Hi all who might be having, or have had, problems with their TV reception.

Back in February we found that most of the British channels were unobtainable via our sat dish up on the roof. We still could get the Spanish channels, perfecto, also via the sat dish, so our  hardware seemed OK.

We asked our man, whose shop is up in Gran Alacant, to come and have a look at our setup, which he did same day, and the verdict was that it was all AOK. BUT it needed retuning for ALL of  the British channels. Took about an hour and cost us €80. Thank you again for BREXIT, which apparently, might have had something to do with this. Just saying, BY THE WAY!

Hi

If your shop says its brexit, you need to find a different shop!

🤣🤣🤣

He charged you 80€ just to rescan your tuner/box?  What a rip off! I wouldn't use him again.  I'm definitely no TV engineer, but I managed to rescan our satellite receiver myself, very successfully, after the frequency changes a few weeks ago.  And by the way, this is one of the few changes which has absolutely nothing to do with Brexit - many of the UK television channels are moving to HD, and are therefore changing frequency.  😀
