I believe finger prints will be required once the EES system starts, my question is:

Due to quite serious psoriasis on my hands over decades i no longer have finger prints, does anyone have an idea how this will be handled.

Eye scans will also be a part of the entry scheme along with facial recognition.

As marcliff states facial recogonition will also be in place as part of the process. However, I would suggest you carry a letter from your doctor explaining your medical condition and how this has affected your finger prints. I would also have the letter translated into Spanish or the language of any EU/EEA country you intend to visit.

I suffer from 2 chronic conditions and carry letters from my doctor explaining that the medication I carry is specifically for these conditions. Yes, I have been asked on a number of occasions to produce these.

Coincidentally I experienced this problem regarding new passport system earlier this year (2024). It turned out that when the person did not have readable fingerprints the police authorities took digital  photos/films of every individual finger. I have no idea how this system actually works, but that was what they did. It looked as this was something they had routines for.
