Not necessarily from what I hear. The post has improved vastly since he dreadful delays etc recently. You can send parcels by registered post, tracked etc, through Correos which Ihave done perfectly satisfactorily in the past.

Just go to your nearest Correos and tell them what you want. They also have a very comprehensive website in several languages which, with a bit of diligence, will tell you anything you want to know.

Hallo Stephanie,

Are we talking about the correos in Santa Pola, I mean that same Correos from which I have send a parcel which eventualy after 9 weeks reached the Netherlands , totaly crumbled.

The same Correos which returns EVERY letter that has been send from The Netherlands to our Santa Pola adress, untill a few days ago.

I would like to hear that the postal service in Santa Pola is improved, but are you sure.

Kind Regards,

Ronald

As I don’t live anywhere near Santa Pola, I am afraid I cannot comment on the operation of the Correos office there. It is the Spanish national postal service so facilities should be the same everywhere. However, around the end of last year, for approximately 4 months, it was dire, which is why I said it has improved. Much of the difficulty was the obvious result of Covid and on several occasions our local small town was completely without service. Our village doesn’t boast a Correos office.

But recently there has been no problem and should one wish to make an expedition to a larger town, the Correos offices have been operating, in my own experience, with friendly and efficient service.

I have lived in Benidorm for 7 years and always used Correos. I've always been satisfied by their services.
