I feel for you trying to get parcels, letters and packets in and out of Spain.  Correos express is NOT the same as the normal Correos post office.

I could fill this whole forum with dire tales of things that disappear never to be seen again.  I can't find a good word to say about a single carrier in Spain.

I have now given up trying to get things sent to my home address and now have them sent to a bar in town.  It think the carrier is afraid to come out into the campo.  Here be dragons!!

To improve your chances always send stuff registered to be signed for.

Hi Bri(Jo),I am a fellow Santa Polero, trapped in Scotland just now. My bolt hole is just round the corner from the Correos office and have used it a few times. I can say that it is reliable, expensive and always has a slow moving queue.I have had stuff sent to SP from Scotland via UPS without problem and can only say that they might be slightly less expensive than the Correos. Both seem to take about the same time.

Hope to have been of help

Un saludo

Ray

HI Brijo, that's very good news, I wish I could report a similar success.  I posted a jiffy bag 10 days ago and it still has not arrived in the UK.

I have noticed in the past that it can be quicker and more reliable going TO the UK, but this time it's not looking good.

Hi classic man, sorry to here your problem, I’ve never had a problem with Jiffy bags or small parcels ,but mine was shoe box size, I didn’t want to send it normal, so I sent it international standard, I had to give them a phone number of the lady in the UK , and they rang her 9am this morning to delivery would be between 2and 2.30 and sure enough on time it was , was I lucky? but chuffed, keep smiling,Bri .
