I have family coming over to stay in torrevieja and are looking at hiring a car. They don't arrive into Alicante until early morning so, are there any car hire companies open at that time and what the cost is?

Airport firms like Wiber, Avis, Centauro & even Goldcar to name a few & no doubt others also do it. It would only be on their all inclusive rental option though taking out full insurance etc before arrival. I’ve done it with Centauro.

Lara car rental also supplies cars overnight but they have a 15euro surcharge for collections between 22:00 - 07:00
Both Coys and Lara get good recommendations on here for their service
A lot of people on here have posted of problems with Goldcar, so if you do go with them take their full insurance.

Steer clear of doyouspain car hire website , I bought fully comply insurance with the and when I went to collect from gud airport with a company called okmobility rental cars they said I needed three car insurance and the other 1 I had paid for wasng valid for there car , so had to cough up another 162€.
