Before Covid there was a Bar in the Marina which had meetings on a Monday morning 10-30 for meeting new people . It's advertised in the free papers . Under notices and charities probably .

Hi
It would help if you gave a bit of info about yourself, just a rough age, and some idea of what your interests are (walks, bike rides, live music etc).
Cheers

There's a golf course in Villamartin, but I'm not a golfer so I can't really comment on it.
If you use Facebook, search for Torrevieja, and also Orihuela Costa - there are various "things to do" and "buy and sell" type groups, which can be useful for local information.
If you don't speak Spanish, you might like to go for a drink in the bars around Punta Prima - almost everybody speaks English, and there is a bus from Torrevieja (D/F)
Also, there is large Irish presence in Cabo Roig, but you'll probably need to drive there.
Since you're a sporty type, you could look for a local petanca club (if you've never heard of it, its a bit like bowling)
Hope I've helped
Steve

Cool. I suggest you try the bars "Marco polo" and "eclipse" - they're easy to find, on the beach side of the roundabout. If you like football, all the big games are in one or other bar.

Lots of bars & clubs in Torrevieja ! I wouldn't recommend punta prima . Lots of stuff going on in the city also. St. James gate in Torreta have a few golfers , they have a quiz & bingo . More in Torrevieja than cabo roig . Most Irish bars up there are closed now. Lots to do & see in la mata & Torrevieja.
Have a great weekend 😁

Of course there are lots of bars etc in Torrevieja, but bingo doesn't do it for me! There's live entertainment to be had in Punta Prima (good band there today, although I missed it) and Playa Flamenca and LA Florida (there is a great rock/pop band there tomorrow). I have friends in Torrevieja who regularly come to this area for entertainment, citing that there's nothing happening in Torrevieja.
Horses for courses of course!
Hi my name is Brian living in cabo roig age 50 how are u we could have a beer 1 day
