Greetings Norman

It might be wise for you to send two typed letters (by post) - one letter in English and one letter in Google Spanish translation.
Use easy crystal clear basic English.
In your letter request them to kindly reply to you in English.
The Spanish are still on their summer holiday's.
In Spain everything is very relaxed and takes a lot of time, so lots of patience is required.

You could also write a postal letter to the Spanish Ministry of Justice.

Hope you have a fruitful result.

Contact the British embassy and the British Consulate office in Spain.

If you're in the UK and worried about a British person in Spain, call 020 7008 5000.

I rang the consulate quite helpful they put me threw to migration south of Spain they couldn't do anything he suggested media or other family I mentioned police he I could contact Brit police then they contact Spanish police and then they would contact me but only if missing and  a serious matter

He did mention because my girls are there they could contact police see if they could help

I don't think they would want to do that
