Where to buy this in torrevieja?

Anyone recommend hardy flowering plants for my terrace? I only get morning sun. I must be doing something wrong cause I bought 6 from the local Emporium, watered them religiously but they still died. Possible shady plants? I need some bullet proof colour. Trouble is the sale people in the big supermarkets know even less than I do! If I could take some type names with me then I could just repeat them and buy it?
