13 amp fuse for English plug in Torrevieja

Campsites. Ones with a shop usually have those for English visitors.

Mary, if no luck with obtaining a replacement fuse you could swap the UK plug for a Spanish one which will cost a euro or two . If you do go down that road it's best not to buy the flat 2 pin type , instead buy the round ( schuko )  version which provides earh protection similar to the UK one.

If you aim to return to the UK with the appliance then it would be a simple job to swap back to a 13amp plug when back there.

We've finally replaced all our English plugs with Spanish ones.  We kept one English plug and replaced the Spanish one on a 3socket bar with the English plug, so we can take that with us when we visit the UK,and use it for our Spanish plugged appliances(as long as we don't exceed thirteen amps)

Purple gran, in the UK it is a safety requirement to ensure correct polarity when connecting Electrical appliances and equipment to 13 amp socket outlets. This cannot be assured in the situation you describe due to Spanish plugs being able to be plugged into Spanish sockets in any of two positions.

I would recommend if using that set up that you always unplug your Spanish appliances from your extension lead after each use.

Does the Spanish system neutral/ground bond or is 120v per phase ?

Beni, I have seen both, most modern installations contain double pole circuit breaker protection.

Thank you Lecky Les, that's sound advice. Mostly it's for flat plugs,e.g. Toothbrush, mobility scooter battery charger, cpap machine, so your advice is more pertinent.

Interestingly, I had a French appliance which had a plug that would only insert into the socket one way around, they have an earth which protrudes into the plug, and presumably the pins in the plug are slightly off centre.
