Nothing to do with fuses but with bulbs.  I replaced a round 60W ses   in my ceiling light with a 7W LED bulb. Now the remote won't switch off the bulb, only sets it off flashing.  Any ideas?

Geoffro, is this a ceiling fan / light unit . The switching units of most modern units are capable of switching energy saving lamps including LEDs .

Some older technology dimmer switches will not operate correctly on energy saving lamps , but should still enable them to be switched off.

Is the light correctly earthed?

It is probably because the light fitting is not compatible with an led light bulb. It it is an older fitting it probably will not have a ‘driver’ which an led light bulb needs. If you google ‘my led light is flickering’ it is explained in depth on there, hope this helps.

Possibly a cause if the lamps were of the lower 12volt rating but as Geoffro has stated he replaced from a 60watt lamp then 12 volt lamps can be eliminated from the issue here.

Modern LED mains voltage lamps have in built drivers and as such can directly replace a filament lamp.

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

The remote would not work correctly , as stated earlier for dimmer switches but I dont think it would prevent the lamp from actually being switched off, which is the issue under discussion.
