Hi,

Does anyone know of an organisation or group that do home visits to people who live alone and would love to have someone to talk to even if just for an hour a week?

Hello

You might want to contact Age Concern in La Siesta who used to provide something similar.

It is a voluntary service & I know many places are short of volunteers since the onset of Covid & I'm  also not sure how you qualify for this service  - if you call them, someone will be able to explain. I worked for Age Concern for 12 years but in one of their shops, not at the head office & staff have changed since then

Have you had a look at the U3A groups? They are not particularly known for doing home visits but organise a host of outings and other meetings where, often lonely or elderly single people are made very welcome.

Get in touch with Help at Home Costa Blanca, there is no charge but you could make a donation.   They seem to do all sorts of things to help the elderly or infirm, good luck.   965 328 794 open 9.30am to 2pm.
