.t friend wants to register for his jabs.

1. Does he have to register for temp SIP at his local salud Las Lonaa? He has been lots of times it's always packed and quite frankly a covid risk

2. Can he register just for the covid jabs elsewhere as he has private healthcare?

Many thanks

Your friend unfortunately has to register for a temporary SIP card  at his local salud. The vaccinations are only being administered by the Spanish Healthcare System.

The local saluds are busy  at the moment but in my local salud you have to take a ticket to see the receptionist  and  you are called inside when it’s your turn. They are only allowing two people to queue inside, everyone else waits there turn outside. Spanish don’t queue in line like us Brits, so you can socially distance as much as you like.

Now that people are being called to vaccination centres again, your friend may find the queue isn’t as long as people no longer have to queue for booster appointments.
