Hi everyone,

I've got a friend staying with me on holiday and he's suffering from acute shoulder pain. In the U.K when it occurs a quick injection into the pesky shoulder area clears it up. Would it be possible to have a similar injection in or around this vicinity, paying of course. It's the right shoulder and arm so you can imagine the stress of not being able to lift a medicinal brew.

Thanks,

Teaeff

in all probability it is a inflamed muscle in the shoulder joint and the thin film of tissue that contain the muscle,if so only possible solution is a steroid injection straight into the muscle give it a week to take effect and most important that the Doctor you see as he is the only one able to proscribe the steroid and administer

THAT he gives you a set of daily exercises in written diagram form to bring the muscle and assoc ligaments/tendons back to full strength and use

if not dealt with matters only become worse as the pain ensures your movements become even more restrictive with all the attendant consequences

NOTE only a medical qualified practitioner can deal with this as the steroid reqd.is a very very potent one

Thanks for your answer. However, as I said my friend is on holiday so he hasn't got access to a doctor who could carry out your recommendation, so not much help really, but thanks anyway.
