we are thinking of booking a holiday next year to torrevieja what is the nightlife like is there a strip in torrevieja like in benedorm if yes is it busy thanks

I'm happy to say that Torrevieja is nothing like Benidorm and does not have a strip of nightclubs and bars.
However, don't let that deter you as there are many hundreds of bars and restaurants in this compact town to suit all tastes. Theres a good few nightclubs too down by the Marina and also at top end of town besides the water park.
The town is made up of numerous urbanizacions and all have bars and entertainment on in peak season.
Also, close by are areas with strips or big purpose built plazas for entertainment such as Playa Flamenca, Villamartin and Cabo Roig.
