Can anyone advise as to how I could get an insurance policy for my 83 year old mother, who has been living in Spain for over 20 years, that would include repatriation costs so that if she passed away in Spain, her body could be flown back to the UK for burial?
My mother was born in Ireland but has been in Spain for over 20 years and she now has Spanish residency status.

I can only suggest a funeral plan like Repatriation Plan | Golden Leaves International
but it will not be cheap. Or you could try approaching an insurance company like Mapfre for a repatriation funeral plan.

You could just have a cremation here and take her ashes back. My partner recently died and he was cremated here with a full funeral but his daughter took his ashes back to UK and had another funeral for him.
