Hi Guys,

I was hoping for some advice, tips on how to get some singing gigs in the area. I’m planning on going out there for 6 months and see how it goes. Are there any agents or places looking to recruit? I’m Irish so don’t need a work permit. Any advice would be very welcomed.

thanks, Emmet

Hi

There are various bars which have regular jam sessions - that will give you the opportunity to show what you can do, and get to know other musicians.

Since you're new here, let me share some insights based on my experience. Firstly, it's great that you don't need a work permit being Irish, as that can sometimes be a hurdle. To find gigs, I'd suggest networking as much as possible. Attend local open mic nights, jam sessions, or even karaoke events. Not only are these fun, but they're also great opportunities to showcase your talent and connect with other musicians and potential gig organizers. As for how to make quick cash in a day, while it's tempting to seek immediate gigs for fast money, it's important to balance that with building a sustainable career. Quick gigs might offer a short-term fix, but focusing on building your reputation and fan base can lead to more consistent and fulfilling opportunities in the long run.

Irish passport holders need to register at the National Police station and sign the foreigners register if they intend on staying in Spain longer than 90 days.
