My husband and I were in Consum La Zenia today and when we arrived at check out my husbands wallet was missing!!!!  We had no other cash and had to leave embarrassed with a trolley of groceries left behind.  Spoke to manager who said that there was FOUR people who had their wallets taken yesterday!!!! and seems to be a daily occurrence now!!!!  Was able to cancel cards but inconvenience of Spanish driving licence now having to be replaced.  SO PLEASE BE EXTRA CAREFUL THERE ARE LOTS OF OPPORTUNISTS OUT THERE AND WOULDNT THINK TWICE TO TAKE YOURS!!!!!

Good morning Gilly, So sorry to have read your post.  That must have been a complete nightmare for you and your husband and I hope you have now recovered from that awful experience.  Thank you for warning us all of the dangers to be aware of.

I have heard of several such thefts , both wallets and handbags, this week all around the Torreviega and surrounding area.  Desperate times.  Keep tight hold of your valuables.

So sorry to hear this, Gilly, and thanks for taking the time to warn us.  I had a 'near miss', out with a friend in Torrevieja yesterday - the usual, seasonal scumbags seem even more brazen than usual.  Stay safe everyone.

Kim
