Hi all I new to the forum. Me and my wife are looking to move to Torrevieja in the next 12-18 months and wondered what we would need to do as far as residency and the day to day running costs if we bought a home or what would be included if we rented?

You do realise that if you move after Dec 31st then you will be treated like any other 3rd country immigrant meaning that the income requirements go up to €2,130/mth and €532 for a second applicant.

You will also have to take a Spanish driving test if you want to drive, you will not be able to exchange a UK licence.

Alternatively if you happen to have a spare €500,000 laying about to buy a property with that will get you a 'golden visa' which is tantamount to instant Spanish citizenship for you and yours!
