10m from our apartment is a flat roof with a 3m x 4m rear building. The owner keeps white pigeons. Lots of them. Today there were over 50 white and 15 grey. In the summer there are 50 white and 50 grey. There is shite all over the roof. They make their cooing noise all day long. There is shite on our balcony. The grey ones fly into our patio doors. If doors are open they fly into apartment. A man comes each week for a quick clean and throws bird food over roof which attracts more pigeons. The authorities are not interested and my lack of good Spanish doesn't help. Can anyone help with advice.

pigeons are intelligent...they learn and remember.

If it was me, I would buy a good (20euro) bb pistol, and regularly take a pot at the roof.

It won,t hurt the birds but would startle them into flight.

They will return, but after a few times, may decide it is more peaceful to settle elsewhere during the day, taking their cooing with them.

Allow them to return to roost at night.

Should make situation more tolerable and provide good fun as well!

Incidentally this worked back in UK where they had become a nuisance on my roof, bu be warned, I seemed to get more birdshite on my car after that!

Throw a cat among the pidgeons

I.e. Get a cat 🐱

Plenty of them needing homes in Spain...

Cat is not a bad idea but flat roof is high and has railings round it.  Need to throw it up to second floor.

Don't think bb pistol will work. I throw stones at them. I use a catapult. There not bothered.

Had a similar problem so downloaded the silhouette of a hovering hawk, made a stencil and painted  the outline in black on the roof and nearby walls. Pigeons disappeared. You can also print and stick the silhouette onto your patio door. You’ll not see a pigeon hitting it again. There is also a hawk kite on eBay which can be mounted on a thin pole and mimics a hawk in flight.
