Hello all, having visited torrievijaa few times i would like to move my family there in the future.  Short term rental to start with. Anyone on here been brave enough to resettle from south wales, if so how did you go about it. I have a 9 year old who would need schooling.  Any advice would be grateful. Thanks

Thankyou for your reply. I would need to work. I'm a qualified yoith worker and worked in supported housing for 15 years with substance misuse and mental health. Is there are call for this kind of work in Spain?

Definitely thinking of my childs future in Britain.  The education system isn't good.

Also the weather isn't doing my health anygood here!

There are official agencies who do the kind of social work which you describe; however, to echo RayD above, without a working knowledge - at the least - of Spanish you will struggle to find a position. You may also need to convince the relevant authorities that your UK qualifications will be acceptable here, otherwise you may need to retrain in the Spanish system.

I would disagree with RayD to a certain extent re the international schools, I am acquainted with several families who use them perfectly happily - the main barrier is the cost, around 6 - 800 eu per month I understand.
