Dancing - Ballroom, Latin, Sequence and Argentine Tango

hello' Andrea, I'd like to learn to dance but I have had always a big problem : I'm not able to follow any type of rithm, in the meaning that I'm always hors time when I've tried to danse. Do you think that is possible to overcome this problem and learn ? Thank you very much for your attention.

Hi Marco,

Don't worry, everybody has some problem or another.   Your rhythm and timing issues are not abnormal, many people have the same problem.   Yes, it is possible for you to learn to overcome this problem when you are learning to dance, he only think to remember is that everybody learns at a different pace.   Some dances you will pick up quite quickly others take longer, that is also normal for everybody.   We repeat things quite a lot so if you do not get it the first time you will get another chance when it comes around again in a couple of weeks time.

The main thing is - get yourself through the door and we will teach you to dance - everybody is very nervous the first time they come but they soon get over that when they realise what a nice crowd of people we have at our classes.   We have never failed to teaching anybody to dance yet so come along and have a go.

thank you very much for your kind answer. Maybe you think that way because you don't know yet how seroius my case is...   :) can you imagine that also during militar service I wasn't able to follow the right time in the march ? However your answer made me more confident and I'd like to try again. Only think at the moment I'm following a spanish course at that time, but it should be end in a month. As soon I'lll be free I'll come to have a try. It would be no difficult for me find the place because I live close to that place, in San Luis.

Hi Marco,

Thank you for replying to my message.   I look forward to meeting with you at the dance classes when you have finished your Spanish classes.   We teach until around about 19th June when we close [as it will be too hot in July and August] for the summer and restart at the beginning of September when it gets a little cooler.

Also, I am always optimistic - best way to be when teaching dancing, especially when we sometimes have people with FIVE LEFT FEET!!   You have to have a sense of humour with me as you will find out when you come to dancing, a sense of humour helps.    See you soon, best wishes,

yes, I understand what you mean, I think that you are right. Sense of humor always helps, especially if you can arrive to hold it after have taught me six or sevent time dance...  :) I hope to find the courage to come in the school very soon. Thank you very much for your welcoming spirit.
