Changing light bulbs !!

Hi.  My daughter has just moved into a property in Valverde and I am house sitting for a few days.  Been looking at some ceiling lights which need replacement bulbs and just not sure how to access the light bulbs.  Is there a way of removing the glass or does the whole fitting need to be taken off to access. See pics below. Hopefully simple enough when you know how but for now I in the not sure camp 🤷🏻. Any help/advice appreciated

Not come across this type of fitting but looks to me like you would pull out the metal clips so that you can remove the glass cover and get to the bulbs.  Might only need to remove one. Maybe have to squeeze the two sides towards the middle .

The metal clips will come out easy. Not so easy is finding the right bulbs which are socket coded and must be identic to the fitted, i.a. you have to remove one to get he code. Find rreplacement at most china stores. Should both lamps need to be replaced I'd recommend to substitute the whole lamp for a LED device (+/- 10,-) and save on your power bill.

Over here again with my daughter and still battling with light fittings🙄.  Need to get the current bulbs out to source replacements but not really sure how the bulbs are fitted. Tentatively tried a basic ‘press and twist’ which doesn’t work so assuming they are likely to be screw fix ? They have probably been in a while however and I don’t want to fiddle around too much and damage the fitting !!   Advice on likely fitting type would be appreciated to give me some confidence in applying a bit more pressure 🤔😂   Thanks

Those look like ‘push in’ fittings to me, see image I’ve posted

Tentatively hold the lamp and pull out

Id Be inclined to change the whole thing for led as those round lights can be quite cheap compared to the lamps you are removing

Try CEF Electrical. Trade supplier but they'll serve anyone. This should be your nearest branch https://cefltd.com/nuestras-delegaciones/cef-alicante/

Download the Lamparas catalogue from the GSP page on the website and I think you'll find the lamp is a push in type, last one. CEF should be able to advise about changing the fittings to LED and find an installer.

You could also try taking the photo's along to the light department in your nearest Leroy Merlin, ,I've always found them very helpful. ideally take a bulb if you can get it out.

I'd agree that it looks like a push fit, rocking the base to and fro a couple of times should free it up.

Aitch.

Thanks for everyone’s help.  They were indeed push fit and I have now secured a stock for future use until we can explore the LED option.
