Hi We have recently moved to Spain and a friend is coming out with our personal items.we wish to have him  bring our dog with him he is travelling by ferry.

All the paperwork and veterinary certificates are in order. Will he have any difficulty as he is not the registered owner.

I would appreciate any advice

Frank.

I  travel  over  January 2nd  with Wee Jack  Russell  from Rosslare to Sandanter, all  that was checked  at Rosslare  was Dog passports   never looked  at Dog,  on  exit from Sandanter  port  it  was just  my Passports   that  was checked,  very  simple  for me  that is my experience,  but need worm 🪱 tablets  on  my  return to  Rosslare  not  need for entry into Spain

Pets travelling without their owner

As a rule, pets must travel with their owners; however, you may give written permission to another person to accompany your pet for you. You must, however, be reunited with your pet within 5 days of its relocation.
