I have just returned from walking my dog on the Campo, Villamartin.  Or rather sent home by Guardia Civil having had to produce my documents. Passport and Pet Passport. I am 65 years old and never knowingly broken a rule, let alone the law. One person stayed in  the vehicle at the edge of the campo and one set off towards me, shouting and gesticulating.  Having just read in Costa Blanca news, page 13. Animal Welfare during Spains Lockdown I was fairly comfortable I hadn't done anything wrong.

I don't speak fluent Spanish but was taken back to their vehicle to check my documents. Copies of which were on my  I was told to go straight home, walk my dog on the street where I live or the garden. These 2 guards were very, very angry. Leaving me very, very upset.

Beware of things changing daily.

The dog walking aspect of the lockdown is solely so you can take the dog out to do it's business then straight back in, if you were out a fair distance from your home then maybe this could be the reason. Someone was stopped for the same thing outside my house and I know they only live around on the next calle to me so he was ok I think.

Where do they specify 50m?

No newspaper should be relied on for accuracy.

It's also worth remembering that the much vaunted N332 is a private organisation narrowly focussed on road safety and traffic matters and with no official standing so not the wide ranging authority some like to believe it to be and promote as such.

Well let’s hope when the dog has done its business!! The responsible dog walker picks it up and bins it, as I have just been to my local waste bin and the amount of dog crap around is terrible. When the local offices are open? I will be reporting this and hope they catch the persons not picking it up! My rant of the day. Th

I fully agree and we always do but since lockdown the dog stays on our premises and we dispose of the mess. Unfortunately there are lots of irresponsible owners out there.
