hi all

we are bringing our small dog over by car for the first time in september.

what and when do i have to do prior to returning back via car with our dog to the UK later in the year please?

also what are the likely vet costs for this service?

i have seen the vet Eduardos? (la zenia i believe) recommended on here so will probably use them.

Many thanks for info.

I can recommend Eduardos Vets, they have English speaking staff and will be able to help with what you need, note they have relocated to premises down from the Blue Lagoon Arch and round the corner from Summers Bar, see the link.

I use Eduardos for the passport stamp, worming and health check before we return to the UK.

Cost me bout 40e, but this is for two very large dogs.

Hi We are in Spain at the moment, we brought our dog over with an AHC valid for 4 months so when we go back at 90 days this will still be current. He will need a worming tablet before we return and the vet will issue that and enter in his AHC. We always use petsworld at la zenia who charge about 21 euros.

We shopped around and found Abbeywell Vets in Folkestone who supply the AHC for £99 ( our vet and others in Sheffield wanted £250)

The process was very easy and done via email with a quick self collection where the vet checked his chip and I signed the paperwork.

His rabies vaccination is in date and that was the main requirement.

We travelled via Eurotunnel and he cost £30 on top of our booking.

Great info thanks. Did I read it correctly that the UK vet part was done remotely and you didn't have to travel to folkestone to get it done?
