My neighour attended the medical centre at Cabo Roig last Wednesday, while there he asked when they would be starting the vaccinations, answer; they had no idea, and they had no vaccine anyway.

My sister who is 55 and my brother who is 60 both had their first dose yesterday.

Apart from a few high level slides there doesn't seem to be the kind of plan you can see in the UK media which shows numbers of jabs being aimed for and when it will hopefully be complete.

Seems very light on detail over here and pretty hopeless so far.

Agree, I am more concerned that the MC does not know when they will start which shows lack of any plan.

I have read elsewhere that the Jansen/Johnson&Johnson vaccine has been submitted for approval in Spain, hopefully by March.

Spain has procured 40 million vaccines and they will be manufactured in Barcelona.

Crucially this vaccine requires one jab only and should therefore enable Spain's programme to move forward rapidly.

Be optimistic, Spain wouldn't want to miss the main tourist season.

I think they have missed it already - no way they are going to hit the necessary 70% of population in time for the Summer period, unless they come up with something inventive which meets with population support.

Understand what you are saying but consider the use of the once only jab, halves the timescale and they have ordered 40 million.
