I hear what you are saying and hope I'm wrong but these things have to produced we need to see when it's approved and production/ distribution numbers as well as target ages etc.

I agree, it still has to be delivered.

They have had a very sticky start but the J&J vaccine, if approved should add some much needed momentum and confidence.

They need to think where these vaccinations are going to take place, the MC's wont be able to cope with thousands of people arriving for their vaccinations, ours cant cope with half a dozen arriving at once the staff go into a tizzy, and starting shouting at patients.

If they set up mass vaccination centres then they may have to relax the perimeter rule so people can travel to these centres.

We will be lucky to be vaccinated this year 😔 hope I'm wrong.

Be optimistic, Spain wouldn't want to miss the main tourist season.

Astute comment Kenbo.

I have also heard on the news and read in El Pais that last week Spain administered 75% of its received vaccines down from 94% at the start of February.

The easy part has been done, care home residents and workers, health care workers easy to vaccinate because they know where these people are, the acid test will be how efficiently they roll out the vaccine to the wider population.

Spain has received 800,000 does of vaccine that has not been used.

There seems to be some confusion regarding the requirements for the covid vaccine in our local health centre.  I went and asked to be put on the list. I produced my sip card and was asked for a Spanish phone number. That was all and frankly as much as I expected. Since  Spain has said that "everyone "will be vaccinated. Since then my friends have said that I will need a Padron and more. Can some knowledgeable person pleas clear this up for me. Thanks

Are you British, and did you present a Residencia card or TIE ? (or proof of an approved application in progress ?)

A Brit without one of these cards, who has been in Spain since pre-end 2020 must leave the EU at end March 21, and cannot return until July 21.

So the health centre might assume that the Brit would be vaccinated elsewhere.

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

That's fine providing there is ample parking and a regular and timely bus service.

I'm Irish. The question was really what if any documentation do I  need. To avail of the vaccination.
