Hi, where can I get my car changed over to my name please? I have all the relevant paperwork but just need to know where to go to get it done? Thanks in advance!

Do you know what I should expect to pay for this service please?

I agree with Pete, Carrasaco are excellent, we used them when we bought a car privately and they handled everything.

If you're not familiar with Spanish systems and/or your Spanish is lacking, it's safer to pay someone to do it for you.

I assume you've got the compraventa, copy of the seller's DNI/NIE, and the Permiso and Tarjeta, and have confirmed that the road tax is paid up to date, has a current ITV if applicable, and that you have checked that there are no debts or finance outstanding on the car.

The next step is to complete a modelo 620 online on the Valencian Community website and then pay the transfer tax, which usually requires a visit to Agencia Tributaria.

Then you go to DGT and pay for the actual transfer.
