As far as I know there is no such thing as a ‘year long visa’ if that’s what you mean.

90 days in any 183 days is the longest you can spend at any one time unless you become resident in Spain, owning a property does not give you any extra.

Correct, no such animal.

Theoretically you could obtain an NLV and then not renew it after a year but you'd only get away with doing that once.

When it comes to Spain (or any other country) Schengen "laws/ rules" it appears the rich are more equal than others, but nothing new in that.

A Golden Visa has no real relevancy to this topic as it gives you residency and all that entails, the original poster was not asking about residency.

Spain does not have a year long visa but there is what is known as a Non Lucurative Visa, which must be applied for in the UK.  However, you need to provide evidence of your financial circumstances, have private health insurance etc.

These links will provide more information:

Hi, are you a UK passport holder? If so there are limited options for staying longer than the 90 days in 180 days allowed for UK citizens.

Other options are detailed in the link below to give you some idea of whats available.

https://visas4spain.co.uk/

There is also a Digital Nomad Visa, but that is for workers and has specific requirements:

https://iasservices.org.uk/es/work/digital-nomad-visa

Not that it's much help to you at the moment - in France it is possible to get a visa as a non-resident property owner which allows extended stays up to one year, there is a hope that this might become a option in Spain at some point in the future, don't count on it though!

Rgds,

Aitch.
