Flight cancellation

Hi Mary,

Another member has previously identified that the airlines seem to be pushing people onto one flight - they also mentioned having a later flight cancelled but able to rebook for the morning flight on the same day - I think they were flying with Ryanair.  Which airline are you flying wth?  Seems to me that it makes economic sense - why send two flights on the same day, each with only 20% capacity used, if they can send one flight with 40% of seats taken.

They are reducing all their flights by 40%, we had the same this evening, it's no bother for us to get on another flight , but what about people who are staying in hotels or renting ?.for example our outbound flight was 5.30pm, got cancelled so had to do 6.10am, what if we were in a hotel or rental where you cant check in untill 4pm ? 

I imagine if the go ahead is given for UK travellers to enter Spain there will be a large and rapid increase in bookings for the flights still scheduled to fly, with a corresponding large and rapid increase in seat price 

This would be even more accelerated if the current UK 14 day inward quarantine is simultaneously removed.

Lots of 'Ifs' for the next couple of weeks !

Kimmy the flight was originally for pm but changed it to same day am no additional cost even though it was more expensive.

We are hoping flight home two weeks later pm from Alicante to Stansted will go ahead. Yes with Ryanair and it makes perfect sense to run one plane full instead of two half full.

We had two sets of flights cancelled already this year but we have just used the credit for later in the year and next year.
