Does anyone have any idea or past experience of flight prices from Alicante to Edinburgh coming down for the month of November as at the moment they are around £100 for the return flight back to Edinburgh, whilst the price outward is only around £20.

If you're flexible on dates then use skyscanner.net and set it on month view. That way you can find the cheapest combination of flights to suit your requirements.
For example, my wife is flying to Edinburgh November 30th and returning December 7th. Price including two bags was €75.

Never put in the search box for return as always more expensive,as Jim says search for one way going for the whole month and the same going back.

Flight prices from Alicante to the UK on the first weekend in November are horrendous. Is it something to do with Brexit?

It's probably all the illegals getting out before they're forcibly deported.

Just booked for my sister to come over from leeds/bradford on the 23rd November and returning on the 7th December and both ways was £20.
Prices from Edinburgh are not too bad, depending on the date of course.
