Hi

We bought an apartment in Villamartin last year and our water bill with Hidraqua for this first full quarter was €106. It’s a holiday apartment and Consumption was minimal and it’s nearly all standing charges. Is this about the norm ?

Thanks

If that's what the statement breakdown shows then it must be the norm from your particular provider, how or why would it be otherwise?

Does it include your Basura?  I live in Guardamar and it’s included in my water bill, but I know other councils issue separate bills. I’ve not had my bill yet, but I’m sure that it’s this time of the year when it’s payable.

Hi

We live permanently nearby in Playa Flamenca. Our Hidraqua quarterly bill is realiably 80 euros (there are two of us), so your bill does sound high to me.

If you're willing to share it on this forum ( you could hide your name and address), then I would be happy to compare it with mine (if I can remember where to find it!)

Cheers

Hello

 You say you bought the apt last year so - is this your 1st bill since then & was anything outstanding from the previous owners.?

Cheers

Thank you. Yes it does. I wasn’t sure if that meant waste as in water or as in street rubbish collection. Do you pay the water company for that then ? Tb

Yes your Basura  is trash, rubbish daily bin collection whatever you want to call it .

It confused me at first as it makes no sense to be paying the water people for your rubbish collection. It’s generally a once a year thing, so your other three bills will be lower.

Hiya, Below is how our water bill is calculated every quarter. We are also in Villamartin, so your bill may be the same.

The service fees every quarter come to roughly 63 euros plus tax, then the other charges depends on the units of water used.  I hope this helps.

Water (1)

CONSUMPTION = Units of water x €0,7016    Tax @ 10%

SERVICE FEE   €23,70                                    Tax @ 10%

Conservation/Maintenance Counter (2)

SERVICE FEE    €0,10      Tax @ 21%

SERVICE FEE     €3,68     Tax @ 21%

Sewer system (3)

CONSUMPTION = Units of water x €0,1101  Tax @ 10%

SERVICE FEE   €7,50                                    Tax @ 10%

Garbage (4)

SERVICE FEE     €17,40

Autonomous Canon Sanitation/Purification (5)

CONSUMPTION = Units of water x €0,441

SERVICE FEE  €11,21
