hi all

last year drove from Essex to Villamartin with non driving wife and non driving small dog! with 1 overnight stop in Bayonne southern France. 1st leg of journey was too long (780 miles) so this year have worked out i would like to add an extra night stop over and drive around 400 miles a day (overall door to door for me is around 1200 miles).

I have decided i would like to drive from home via Le Shuttle to around Nantes for a stop over, then next day drive down to Pamplona for an overnight then the next day to Villamartin, thus splitting the journey into roughly 400 mile segments.

Can anyone suggest half decent, dog friendly, reasonably priced (up to around €90 a night room for all rates) B&B hotels in or near these locations please?

Many thanks for any advice and info offered.

Perhaps you'll like this https://www.hotelpamplonaeltoro.com/, affordable and conveniently located on your way. Exit A15 at 109 and stay on N 240a for 10 kms. The hotel is on your right.

The motorway between Pamplona and Zaragoza is a toll road.

We found it much easier to just book as we went. The first time we pre-booked and got to one hotel after midnight and struggled to get access and we found it just added extra angst so the second time we just winged it and had no problems at all. Most of the hotel sites have a filter for dog-friendly hotels and end June/start July there were rooms available everywhere.
