Hi can anyone tell me if it is possible to purchase Novorapid insulin vials over the counter at the pharmacy in Spain and the approx cost my husband is type 1 diabetic and we are planning an extended stay next year so woukd be easier to buy rather than bring it all with us.many thanks.

Bring your own my friend was caught out and she’s type 1 too it cost over 70 Euro and test strips were expensive too

I have managed to buy novarapid from the local farmacia but only in prefilled pens, 6 in a box but they are almost €50 per pack, remember if your in the UK you can order 3 months worth of medication per prescription, with a little bit of re ordering you can build up a bit of a stockpile of your meds , if your retired things can be a bit easier getting meds in Spain.
