La Zenia is no better, sorry to have to say this but I see it on a daily basis, it looks like the Spanish have arrived for their summer holidays and have no understanding of the concept of poo bags and being responsible for cleaning up their dogs mess.

Same here in Benidorm especially on the back streets. Lazy dirty dog owners to idle and lazy to pick it up.

Your comment shows that different things happen in different areas, I know from my own experience in our area it is mostly the Spanish who are the ones who are to blame.

It’s just as bad in Benidorm, , people just care who sees them , I have tried to tell a few people but the pretend they don’t understand, I wondered if there are fines or anything like that but I’ve never seen any signs.

I see it all around the back streets of Benidorm too and I've challenged a couple of people about walking off and leaving the mess. One Spanish women who just shrugged and carried on walking and an English man who said he'd come back later and clean up!!

I think there's bylaws covering it but dirty dog owners need to be caught first. You have to do a slalom course to avoid treading in it which is difficult when its dark.

Absolutely disgusting human beings. Shame for the dogs as they know no different.

True, I remember a dog trainer called Barbara Woodhouse saying " there is no such thing as a bad dog, just bad owners".

Hi A couple of years ago the council constucted a childrens play area near my villa swings etc. with signs saying no dogs, it immeadiatly became the local dogs toilet, i called into the town hall and pointed this out, and within 24hrs a sign was erected stating anyone caught allowing there dogs to foul would be find up to 600 euros, within another 24hrs the sign was torn down and next to the sign was yes you have guessed it dog poo, it is a case of up yours i will do what i want, goodness knows what filthy holes these people live in, but it does seem all over and all nationalities,

Sadly I found the same Alicante, and now again in Port Vendres France.  It's enough to stop me going back, and it's time the authorities did something about it.  I actually thought it was an EU law to clean up after your dog?
