Hi folks, My wife and I got Residencia in Tenerife in 2015, We had to return to UK a year later to look after  a sick relative. We have now decided to return to Spain, but this time to Costa Blanca. We are pensioners and are waiting on a brexit decision to see if the S1 form will still be available.

My question is whether the Residencia is still valid or will it need to be re-applied for and is a Tenerife version valid on the Spanish Mainland.

Also, any advice on how to find long term rentals in and around Villamartin and Punta Prima would be greatly appreciated,

Thanks for any help you can give, Cheers, Terry

Hello:

http://romuloparraabogado.com/cuanto-tiempo-puedo-salir-de-espana-sin-perder-la-residencia

Here it says that if you dont stay outside of Spain for 12 consecutive months you can come back to Spain. For example. You go to your country for 11 months, you come back for 1 month, you go for 11 months and come for 1 month, etc.... it is fine.

Regards

"Lucky that you took a month’s holiday in Spain each year since leaving isn’t it (wink)."

And can prove it!

This post that was quoted has been deleted.

I would say that if you buy something with credit card or you go to doctor or...... will be enough

Thanks for that, I,ll think of something. I'm sure Spain would like me to spend my pension pounds with them and not go checking to far.  Terry
