Hi Mick,

I have friends with a similar issue.  He phoned their vet at Almoradi and the vet arranged for him to collect their Frenchie's medication from the vet in Benijofar.  Perhaps give your vet a call and see if he would be prepared to do something similar with a vet closer to you?

Alternatively, could your vet email you an appointment to collect the medication from him?  Then you'd have something to show the police should you be stopped en route.

Vets are allowed to be open, so it's more about you being able to justify the necessity of your journey

Good luck!

Kind regards,

Kim

Took dogy to vet, had to make an appointment and take the vets phone number to show police if stopped and proof of payment if stopped on return, no problem.

I was stopped by the Guardia a week or so ago who had set up a road block just outside our small village, thus preventing access to the slightly larger small town 1 km away. I was on my way to the local vet, no official paperwork stating appt or anything, but elderly cat in basket as evidence. They asked the usual questions - we live way out in the campo so have to drive considerable distance even to reach village - but were perfectly polite and courteous and no problem at all when I said I was going to see Jose the vet.
