Can anyone suggest a garage close to Campoamor where I can get an oil and filter change, preferably as I wait.

Try Norauto at La Zenia Boulevard https://www.norauto.es/
Think of them as the Spanish version of Halfords.
And you can go shopping while you wait. Personally, I'd go for a pint instead!

Steve, thanks for the reply, seems like a plan, only downside being the oil and filter change will double or treble in price once my wife gets to the shops.
