I have been looking at properties in Dream hills Los Altos, but I was wondering what the bus service is like from this area or the surrounding area. Is there a bus service to the likes of Punta prima or la zenia or is there just one to torrevieja?

Hi Pam
There is a minibus which runs from Torrevieja hospital to La Zenia Boulevard (avoiding Punta Prima), with stops near Dream Hills/Via Park 3 and Aldi.

...but it is infrequent and doesn't run at weekends (except in July/August). This is the only bus servicing Dream Hills.
There is also a full size bus (DF) which runs from Torrevieja bus station to Punta Prima and skirts around the edge of Los Altos (doing a loop around the school). It's a very good service - if you live close to a stop. You may know that Los Altos is a very hilly area, so it's not much fun walking to a bus stop in summer!
There is another bus (E) with stops in Los Balcones, going to Torrevieja.
Also, a bus from Torrevieja to La Zenia Boulevard - but it also manages to just about avoid Los Altos
If buses will be important to you, you should check carefully where the stops are before buying a property!
btw - Punta Prima/Rocio del mar is much more convenient for all amenities.

Thanks very much Steve, yes a bus service is very important to us as we don’t want to drive so Los Altos looks like it is out. I’ll take a look at your suggestions. We are only in the early stages of looking but we hope to buy somewhere this year. Thanks once again. Pam
