Hi All

I'm not computer illiterate but I'd love to be competent enough to book a far east holiday for me and my wife on-line. This would be  flights, hotels, tours etc. without going to a travel agent.  Are there any courses I could take in Torrevieja area where I could learn all that.  I'll be there for the winter from late November.

Hi

You're obviously competent enough to contribute to this forum, so I reckon it won't take much for you to gain confidence about booking a holiday!

For flights, have a look at https://www.skyscanner.es/ and do a few searches - remember you can't possibly go wrong until the point where you are asked for bank details!

For hotels, try https://www.booking.com

Cheers

Steve

As a person who is retired from working in the tourist industry I would definitely NOT do it myself. For the simple reason that travel agents have access to prices and offers that the general public does not.

Also, info about visas, possible vaccinations, etc. etc.

Would be a pity to spoil a holiday in the far east because of lack of knowledge.

Good luck, J

Well now.  Thanks very much for those tips.  I think I might leave big tasks like    far Eastern holidays to the experts. I was able to book tickets and print them in the past but now I only have my smartphone. I no longer possess a computer or printer.   I might find some course to refresh my knowledge.    Thanks again

I’ve never had a travel agency that managed to find a better deal than  I could source for myself .

A tip. Look in the address bar above.

See that little padlock.

While it is closed, the site is a secure site. If it is open, it may be a scam site (even one posing as a well known secure site).
