How to find an appointment for registration?

I have been trying to find an appointment with the Police for registration as an EU national for nearly a year, every time is the same, they simply say there aren't any appointments, not only in town, but in the whole of Alicante province. Apparently last year it was because of the Ukraininans given preference, but it seems impossible to find one, it's always the same:

En este momento no hay citas disponibles.
En breve, la Oficina pondrá a su disposición nuevas citas.

Is there a trick I should be aware of or a way to register without having to book an appointment online?

TIA.

Hard to say. It much depends on where and when. As long as you can do w/o legal transactions there is no need to register.

 Hello

This is not true Killjoy, it is required by  law for EU Nationals to register with the Foreigners office!

Where DO you get your information?   Post an official link to show there is "no need" to register.

Cheers

Hello

https://www.getlegalinspain.com/

This is a link to a local company that has helped many of us with legal matters for many years.

They helped me with getting a  TIE  ID card which was required for  Brits after Brexit, they did my paperwork, made my appts  etc & took me to Alicante.

Uma and her team are very helpful and all speak English....give them a call to see if they can help.

Cheers

Torrevieja, I think the post was directed to the Torrevieja forum.

Hi Flowerlover,

We had the same problem with Torrevieja's foreigners' office when we first tried to register in 2016, so we went to Orihuela Policia Nacional office - it may be worth you trying to get an appointment there instead.  Failing that, I would also recommend Uma Sanz at Get Legal in Spain.

Kind regards,

Kim

I have even tried the whole of Alicante province, there’s never anything showing.

It is very frustrating for people as the system is not working as it should for ordinary citizens. If you try first thing in the morning as their system goes live you might get lucky. Businesses who are charging for this service have someone in the office constantly scanning for free slots. Have you tried just turning up at Torrevieja, Playa Flamenca Town Hall Office, Orihuela or Elche and see would you have any luck. I am not sure if they offer the facility for registering   at the Extranjeria office in Torrevieja on Calle Arquitecto Larremendi 3, phone+34 966 92 86 36 but it might be an idea to try there first. Torrevieja Translators also offer the service.

I turned up at Torrevieja Town Hall last year to get the padron, which I managed to get. I have been at the place you mention above earlier this year and they said it was only by appointment.
