Hi, thinking of purchasing on Villimar and would like to spend a month there and a week in the Uk . Do you think I would be permitted as I am retired with an Irish passport. TIA

The following link provides information and advice for Irish citizens including their responsibilities, issued by the Dept of Foreign Affairs:

We do not intend to either breach the 183 days max in any year, nor spend more than 90 days in any 180 period.

What we would like to establish is whether we can take a break in Spain in our 180 days allowance (90 days max) then leave for a weekend outside of Europe, then return to Spain and continue into the next 180 days period - starting again with our next 90/180 period.
...

...

Hope that is clear.

I don't think you understand what is meant by 90 days in any 180. If you do as you suggest and spend 90 days in Spain then go to Morocco for say three or four days then return to Spain you are immediately in violation of the rule. The 180 days does not end on a certain date, what you have to do is count back 180 days from your proposed date to arrive in Spain, if you have any days in Spain you have to add them to your new trip so if you spent 60 days no problem because you have 30 days in credit, if your last trip was 90 days then you have to leave the country for at least 90 days to prevent violation. In this case if you have been out of the country for 92 days when you arrive you will have two days in credit, the following day adds another day to your total but it also takes one off the beginning of the previous trip, so whilst your in Spain for 90 days you never exceed 88 days in total. Sorry to take this laborious explanation but it was the only way I could think of explaining it to you. As someone else stated there are tools on the web that will work this out for you. I hope this is clear now.

Exactly, but this didn't seem clear to the person who made the original post.
