Restaurant recommendations please

In LAlbir I would recommend La Cena on the beach walking towards Altea, the food is great and the views are incredible. Along there there is also Zero zero and many others. Also over the road from Playa de Albir hotel is a lovely Gurkha restaurant which serves great food. They have been there for many years. in Benidorm on Poniente beach there are some amazing restaurants. Can’t remember the name of the one we like but it has 3 restaurants in a row with sea views - proper restaurants with great food and drinks and reasonable prices.

Hi Pauline. In my opinion the Cuenco de Oro (not to be confused with the Puente de Oro in the "High Street"), is the only real (English style) Chinese restaurant in Albir.  It's near the end of the second row behind the beach, furthest from the "High Street" on the left hand side, past the Kaktus Hotel. It doesn't look much, not glitzy like others, doesn't do buffet or all-you-can-eat, but is relaxed, nice to sit outside, and the food is very good. Warning, the portions are large! Don't order more than one each plus shared rice. Duck is great. Service is slow, but who's in a hurry? Paulinos In the High Street, and the Hereford near Mercadona are also good. With drinks, these are all going to cost around 25 Euros pp. Enjoy, David

Hi Pauline, I'm so glad you liked it, and it's good to stroll along the beach side after.

The Hereford near Mercadona is surprisingly good for steak and chicken, too.
