Well, I know no one knows what's going on w/ Brexit - but wondered what's the view on the Costa Blanca about taking up residence before a certain date...

I bought a house near Alicante, and renting it out, w/ a view to move there at some point, no hurry - and wonder if I would need to declare residency before a certain date. Wasn't in a hurry before, but now wondering if I need to get in there before March 2019?

We plan to move over next year but probably will miss the stipulated date. Hence my husband won’t be renewing his expired UK passport, he will be getting an Irish one! His mother has finally come in useful ! ;)
