Hi, I’ve just completed my first tax year here in Spain since becoming resident I fully expected to pay tax on earnings received but I’ve also been taxed on ‘ tax free money ‘ I received from my private pension Pot ( 25% tax free ) has anyone come across this situation please

Hi, Yes Your 25% tax free in the UK is taxable in Spain.

Perfectly normal, tax free in UK does not translate to tax free in Spain.
This was in Jims tax guide which you said that you would read when you were directed to it.

The interest earned on tax-free ISA savings in the UK is also taxable in Spain.
