Clothes dryer

I need to buy a clothes dryer. My flat has a vent for a vented dryer, but, I only use the dryer to soften clothes, so I am thinking about a condensing dryer.

Is there a BRAND anyone recommends? or, any advice?

Like everything else with white goods, it comes down to what you want to spend. Vented driers are cheapest. Condensing driers usually available as two types: either with what is effectively a removable bucket for the condensation, which is usually what the mass market suppliers produce because of cost, or the type which is connected to a waste outlet usually supplied by more specialist outfits such as Miele.

I myself bought a miniature one which fits into an upstairs cupboard quite neatly. I bought it for occasional use in the winter and it front vents out of the window. It takes a 4 kg load. Made by Indesit, who are a company I would not have touched with a barge pole in U.K., but it works perfectly well for what I want here.

As far as makes are concerned, mass market products are all very similar in price and standard of build. You maybe better looking at a Spanish made product for the obvious reason here .
