I have recently contacted a company that offered to retrieve overpaid tax in England.   I receive the  state pension, a civil service pension and a small pension from the Isle Of Man, where I once lived. I engaged an accountant in Spain and paid tax. I have been in touch with a Company that advertises on the internet, to retrieve money being paid in the UK.... That shouldn't be paid if you already pay taxes in Spain! Has anyone had any experience with this, and is it worth the money, to engage them. €300 or 15% of what they find..... I just wouldn't have thought I'm paying tax in England, but I don't receive any paperwork regarding my pensions, just the money in the bank each month!

You just need to complete a dual taxation form Spain Individual and send it to HMRC to stop paying tax on pensions in UK.

Your civil service pension is classed as a crown pension and will only be taxed in UK but will be taken into account to assess your tax rate in Spain.

Your state pension is not taxed in UK but the income is taken into account by HMRC towards the tax free allowance.#

You should not be paying tax in UK on a private pension nor should you be being taxed twice on the same income.

This is the form you need to complete, used to be called an FD9

The address to send it to is

HMRC, Pay As You Earn and Self Assessment, BX9 1AS, United Kingdom

HMRC will reimburse you with the amount you have paid twice but don't expect it to be done overnight.

To be honest the companies you mention are profit making and they will take a considerable chunk out of anything you may be owed. You can contact HMRC yourself to ascertain if you are owed anything. This link will provide further details on what to do:

Agree with both replies, nothing whatsoever to be gained by using 3rd parties, if you're owed tax by UK then as long as you've done the dual taxation form HMRC will (eventually) refund you anything they owe you.

For IoM I couldn't say other than they don't come under HMRC.

You also mention in your post that you have a small pension from the Isle of Man. The contents of the following link may assist in what you need to do to advise the Isle of Man authorities:
