Hi we are looking to move to Altea in September for 12 months and have been told we need an NIE number before e can set up a Spanish bank account. What’s the quickest way to get this.

Hi in the box at the top of the page that’s says what are you looking for type Jim’s Guide -The NIE and in the box next to it everywhere. It will give you all the information you need. Also have a look at the post by Claire M in the same thread as she has applied for NIE in th U.K..

We just opened an account with Sabadell and our passports and National insurance no and proof of uk address was enough.
Their key account lets you transfer money from uk free and is £30 a quarter. Or there is a free account if you out 700 euros a month through it.
We have an appointment for NIE but not till mid August.
