Good Morning, we are not the best on directions in the Uk let alone Spain ha ha but have hired a car in Alicante Airport to travel & stay in Altea. Any tips on leaving the airport looking at various route planners etc looks like the N332 or the AP7

regards

Hi, if you do not have GPS, or maybe on your mobile phone, the rental company "may" have local maps or even driving atlas. Nearest petrol station sell updated routes for sale. (failing that, keep the sea on your right. ) V

It may help you to have a look at the N332 website as it is for English speaking people and deals with anything to do with driving in Spain.   It is run in collaboration with officers of the Guardia Civil and has an English version of the Spanish equivalent of the Highway Code on it.

Wherever we go now we use google maps, gives the best route and takes the traffic conditions into account. I don't bother with the in-car satnav anymore.

If you don't have roaming abroad then you can download the route to your mobile and use offline, though obviously no traffic info if using the offline option. Lots of guides on youtube on how to download google map routes to your mobile, if needed.
