Bon dia!

Myself and my partner (and pup) are here for a few months visiting my nan!

We have driven over from Cornwall, UK.

And are hoping to have a lovely winter here! Any advice on book shops/meets, where to and not to take dog and surf spots would be lovely!! (all other advice welcome too)

Hi Megan and welcome. I hope you have a great time. Just one point which you may already be aware of, so apologies in advance. When you say ‘several months’, be advised that since Brexit, you may only legally stay here for 90 days in any 180, thus roughly 3 months. Over this and you would be deemed resident, with all the tax implications and other paperwork , income and Healthcare requirements.

Hiya Stephanie

Thanks so much for your response! It's a really important point and luckily we are aware and have put everything in place to stay longer than our 90 days should we need/want too!

Hi would be interested to know what and how you have put everything in place to stay longer. Family of mine want to do that. Thanks in advance.

Nice answer, very subtle knock back love it:) So good to see someone gently divert the usual "have you done this, are you aware of this, and please don't think by mentioning it I am in any way trying to pull your rug out from under your feet," but of course, if I can worry you I will brigade. Enjoy your stay Megan.

...oy your stay Megan.

Personally I prefer to be given facts and to deal with realities even if it is what I don't really want to hear and I think thousands of holiday home owners would be interested in how plans can be put in place to stay more than 90 days if you are a UK passport holder.

If this is meant to be a not very clever dig at me/my reply, it’s really rather silly and also, although I hate to mention this, doesn’t grammatically make much sense.
